ATF achieves IATF 16949:2016 certification

ATF Inc. is pleased to announce certification to the new IATF16949:2016 standard at our Lincolnwood, Romulus, and Rose City facilities.  Certification is required for manufacturers who supply product to the automotive market.  This replaces and supersedes the older ISO/TS 16949 standard.  The IATF stakeholder meeting recently revealed that less than 20% of all sites (approximately 68,000 globally) have obtained their transition certificate.

This revision represents one of the most demanding certifications.  The new stringent requirements ensure proactive risk mitigation, advanced process and equipment control, continuous improvement opportunities, and customer satisfaction.  It requires us to not only look internally, but also consider our entire supply chain.

ATF’s objective was clear, take this transition as an opportunity to further develop our quality management system and demonstrate our commitment to quality excellence.  Our entire organization was enthusiastically behind this effort.
