Social Responsibility

It starts with how we run our company because we focus on putting the needs of others first. You'll frequently find us supporting charitable initiatives that are important to those in our ATF family. ATF as a company supports numerous endeavors and fully supports individual employees to focus on causes near and dear to them.

Make-A-Wish

ATF Team members, family and friends are ready to hit the road in the annual Wish-A-Mile (WAM) Bicycle Tour. Our team participated in both the WAM 300, a three day 300 mile ride that starts in Traverse City, and the WAM 50 which is a one-day 50 mile looping track in the Irish Hills of Michigan. Both rides join a few miles out and finish on the Michigan International Speedway. When riders cross the finish line they are cheered on by more than 3,000 riders, wish children, families and volunteers, known as the “Heroes Hurrah”. It all started for us when a team member's daughter was diagnosed with leukemia 23 years ago. She was granted her wish, had a full recovery and we have participated in the event every year since to show our appreciation and raise money so that others can receive their wish.

Shirley Ryan AbilityLab

In celebration of the life and legacy of Jason Surber, ATF’s former President and the creator of The ATF Way, ATF team members, family, and friends gather to tackle the world’s tallest indoor stair climb – 2109 steps over 103 floors from ground level to the iconic Skydeck in the Willis Tower. This annual event, which raised over $1 million in 2017, helps support the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab’s valuable mission providing world-class patient care and cutting-edge research for thousands of adults and children affected by brain and spinal cord injuries, stroke, cerebral palsy and other neurologic conditions.

Toys for Tots

Every year the ATF team gets into the holiday spirit and continues its tradition of supporting the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program by raising funds to purchase and donate new, unwrapped toys. These holiday gifts are distributed each winter to needy children in the community. This act of giving brings joy to many and reminds us of what is important during the holiday season. It’s just one small way, among countless others, that ATF team members work to strengthen our communities.

Through a spectrum of residential options on its 31-acre Chicago campus and in the community, Misericordia serves more than 600 children and adults from diverse racial, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds, helping each individual live as independently as possible in the highest level of community integration feasible. ATF is proud to support organizations like Misericordia that do so much to benefit the broader community.
