Machine Repair 'A'


Able to perform all of the following functions: Machining, Electrical Work, Machine Repair.

Position Responsibilities:

Machining: Sets-up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinders, drill, and milling machine to repair of fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools. Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. Fabricates and repairs production equipment parts and fixtures.

Electrical Work: Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.

Machine Repair: Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.  Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.

General Duties:

Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment. Assist and cooperate with other team members in the department. Follow all safety rules and practices. Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor. Follow all policies as related to handling of oils. If on spill response team, operate in accordance with SPCC Plan.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Produce quality hi-precision cold headed blanks; while maintaining superior degree of productivity.

Position Responsibilities:

Set-up and operate a wide range of small or large diameter headers; 1 die, 2 blow; 2 die, 3 blow; 3 die, 4 blow; multi-station headers or cold formers. Produce quality parts; in finish and configuration, with zero defects on a regular basis. Proficient in SPC, maintaining critical dimensions, math and blueprint reading. • Process orders when issued to you by supervisor.
