ATF Hosts Local Students on National Manufacturing Day

ATF Romulus proudly hosted nearly 40 students and chaperones from Annapolis High School in Dearborn Heights as part of National Manufacturing Day.

National Manufacturing Day is an annual celebration of manufacturing to educate and increase awareness about modern manufacturing, career opportunities and improve public perceptions of manufacturing.

The ATF team prepared and practiced in advance for our visitors. We started in the large front conference room with a brief presentation that highlighted the various steps involved in manufacturing fasteners, non-threaded cold formed components and formed and stamped products. We had team members from the following areas address sales, costing, quoting, design, tool order and build, heading, stamping, shipping and customer service. Following the presentation we had small groups of guided plant tours and tables throughout the plant displaying the various parts we make. Thank you to the students for visiting and for your interest in learning about manufacturing. Thank you also to the chaperones for your efforts to make the event such a positive experience. Lastly, thank you to the ATF team for your energy, efforts and enthusiasm.
